But actually I don't know which compay was (or is) involved in the developement of the app.

Are you talking about Aprilia's App or Piaggio's?

It's really the same app I believe since Piaggio owns Aprilia. The AMP ECU is used in Piaggio scooters too and only the cable is different.

Io ho provato a vedere nell'appstore dell'iphone ma l'applicazione piaggio non è stata aggiornata come da schermata iniziale a questo post è identica a quella aprilia solo con sfondo blu invece del rosso aprilia

In July 2012, with RE:Lab and Piaggio, we released the Piaggio Multimedia Platform, our technological solution targeted for the 2-Wheels’ world.

According to DQuid architecture, the former system was comprised of an additional control unit directly integrated into the vehicle and an APP which can be downloaded for free from the Apple Store.
With the Bluetooth® connection, the hardware unit communicates important driving features to the bikers’ smartphone : Additional trip computer, Warning system and Service information; Satnav function.

After one year, the system has been adapted for two other Piaggio’s vehicles: Aprilia Caponord 1200 and Piaggio Vespa 946. In these new cases, there was no need to change APIs to develop mobile applications. But Aprilia is known as a company that customize his devices, so maybe they did some changes in the App and/or the implementation of aMP on the Caponord.
They purchase the single components & technology "as is", but usually do some degree of "tailoring" of the code to suit their specific needs.

At this moment, Android app for Caponord is not yet on the Market, and I'm not shure that Piaggio one is fully compatible.
I hope it will show up soon.

Ciao a tutti, avrei anch'io una domanda sull'App iPhone. Non sono ancora entrato in possesso della CN, ma visto che ho deciso di aggiungere l'aMP ho intanto scaricato l'App e l'ho avviata.
La schermata iniziale mi chiede di selezionare il modello, selezione NON annullabile, tra queste due scelte:

CAPONORD R17
CAPONORD RALLY

Ora, io ho preso una Caponord 1200 TP, quindi penso di dover scegliere CAPONORD R17, ma è giusto? Che vuol dire quell'R17?

Secondo me identifica il modello con il cerchio anteriore da 17" (R17), quindi la TP e la standard ;-)

Hmmm... la tua interpretazione ci sta.
Certo che identificare una moto dal cerchio anteriore è quantomeno... desueto.

Io ho l'AMP su Tp e non ho fatto alcuna selezione, non so se sia dovuto al fatto che io ho l'applicazione dall'anno scorso quando non c'era la Rally. Comunque ho fatto l'aggiornamento con la nuova funzione di telemetria

Nel tuo caso è sicuramente come dici.

Buono a sapersi.....
Comunque a logica l'applicazione connettendosi con la centralina in automatico dovrebbe selezionare il tipo di moto. Non oso immaginare cosa succederebbe ai dati se con la TP si selezionasse Rally o viceversa
